Experience the story of William Seward and his family like never before. Accomplished actor, writer, and scholar Jack Sherman premieres his original one man show portraying Mr. Seward through the various phases of his life. Theater and history blend together in this original production presented by the Seward House Museum. In addition to bearing a remarkable resemblance to Mr. Seward, Jack Sherman is a retired judge and published scholar.

Back by popular demand! Embrace the changing of the seasons in the crisp air of an outdoor walking tour led by museum staff from the Seward House and the Cayuga Museum. The foliage and the history will both be on full display as guides take you on a winding stroll that features Auburn’s historic downtown district and Fort Hill Cemetery. Learn about the architecture and history behind many of the city’s most iconic homes, buildings, and properties.

Girl Scout Badge Day is an opportunity for Girl Scouts at all levels to experience hands-on history and earn badge requirements. This event celebrates Constitution Day and the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment giving American women the right to vote. The Finger Lakes Region of New York was a hotbed of women’s rights and abolition activity, making our museum the perfect location to learn about both.

Join us for a First Friday reception! Enjoy complimentary refreshments and docents interpreting the dining and drawing rooms, while on display in the gift shop, a collection of multi-media artwork by Donna Schaefer Nicholas, titled "Memory Dream and Vision". Also featured, will be music by The Honky Tonk Hindooz from Auburn, NY, who play an eclectic mix of psychedelic garage country and weirdo rock-n-roll oldies.
