We are excited to announce that Culinary Expeditions will be the Seward House Museum’s major fundraiser this year! Back by popular demand, this festive garden party will include live music by Trio Los Claveles and international food tastings, inspired by William H. Seward’s world travels, provided by the Sherwood Inns & Appetites, the Inns of Aurora, and more! The Santiago Cigar Factory will also be on-site providing the finest handmade cigars.

Due to the special event scheduled, the 3:00pm and 4:00pm tour will not run on this date, and the Museum will be closed to the public during this time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The past comes to life in this brand new summer experience. Campers will spend a fun and educational week immersing themselves in all that History's Hometown has to offer with the Cayuga Museum, Harriet Tubman National Historical Park, Harriet Tubman Home, Inc.,  and the Seward House Museum. Combining their resources and stories, these three sites will invite campers behind the scenes to explore hand's-on history.

Due to a large, pre-scheduled group, our 10 AM tour will not run with the Museum being closed during this time. The first tour of the day will begin at 11 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Due to a large group, the Museum will be closed to the public from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm with no tours running during this time. Tours will resume the normal hourly schedule starting with the 12:00 pm tour. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Mr. Seward’s Junior Detective League tour is designed especially for 4-6 year olds. Led by retired teachers, this unique experience offers children the chance to explore the first floor of the museum following clues that lead to distinctive artifacts.

Come join us as we celebrate the first annual Harriet Tubman Day! For this day, the Museum will be open from 1 to 5 PM with tours beginning on the hour until 4 PM; the Museum is offering a discounted rate of $5, and children under age 6 are free.
