Scouting Opportunities

Do you have a scout or troop that you would like to bring to the Museum? Schedule a special, personalized tour by contacting outreach@sewardhouse.org. The Seward House currently offers two one-time events for Girl Scouts in the summer and fall and is quickly developing more!

Brownies and Juniors: Fanny Seward Girl Scout Day - Structured off of the Fanny Seward Story website content, this event features historical learning centered around the life and legacy of William Henry Seward's youngest child. Participate to earn your "Celebrating Community" and "Playing the Past" badges while engaging in 19th century everyday life activities and crafts. This event is free and typically occurs in August.

Cadettes and Seniors: Fanny Seward Girl Scout Day - By writing in her diary, Fanny captured events of the Civil War that teach us about everyday life for a young girl in the 19th century. Participate to earn your "Book Artist" and "Novelist" badges while building your own writing skills. This event is free and typically occurs in September.

Coming Soon... A new Scouting America program in the spring!
