The Seward family left their mark on the writing world: from countless letters to private journals to several published books, the written legacy of the Seward family is immense. Despite the fact she would never publish a book during her short life, Fanny Seward’s aspirations as an author and a playwright remain an inspiration for all who hear her story, and the journals and library she left behind provide unique insight into the turbulent time during which she lived.
