Lunchtime Lecture Series: “The Haunts of History’s Hometown"

Nearly every town with a claim to history also claims a few resident specters. Far from trivial yarns, ghost stories introduce the disquieting complexities and contradictions that have always loomed in the American story, while satisfying our desire for drama and wonder. SUNY Cortland History Professor Alena Pirok will discuss Auburn’s ghost stories and what they reveal about how the past is remembered.
