In due time…..when I shall have paid the debt of Nature, my remains will rest here in your midst with those of my kindred and neighbors. It is possible they may be unhonored, neglected, spurned! But, perhaps, years hence …..some wandering stranger, some lone exile may erect over them a humble stone, and thereon, this epitaph, “He was Faithful.”

Lazette Worden, older sister to Frances Seward, endured a difficult marriage, returned to Auburn, and built a home named “Pisgah” along the Underground Railroad. Shellie Clark Dolan, whose doctoral dissertation uncovered the careers of these remarkable women, shares more about Lazette’s legacy. This event will take place at the SHM Event Center (Barn) and is FREE and open to the public.
