It is said that the old Seward kitchen was one of the most popular stations of the Underground Railroad, and that many a poor slave who fled by this route to Canada carried to his grave the remembrance of its warmth and cheer.

Join us Friday, October 6th for our First Friday Event. We will be hosting an exhibit by Anne Lahr in our gift shop and the musical stylings of Roscoe's Basement in our gardens. Complimentary refreshments will be provided and rooms in the Museum will be open for interpretation. This event is free and open to the public.
