First Friday Community Event

Join us for the First Friday Community Event! Playing in the garden space will be local Auburn band, The Primates. The Primates consist of a trio of musicians, and play a blend of psychedelic rock, blues, funk, soul, and folk.
In the gallery space, the work of Nada Odeh will be featured. Nada is a Syrian artist, activist, humanitarian and a modern-day poet. She was both born and raised in Damascus and has lived in countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and has recently come to the USA in 2013 due to the conflict and revolution in her country. She lives and studies in Syracuse, New York. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Damascus University and an MA in Museums Studies from Syracuse University. She has attended many workshops in the field of visual arts, communication arts and therapeutic arts.
Visitors will be welcomed into the Museum to view the Dining and Drawing Rooms, with docents on hand to answer questions and interpret the spaces. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
This event is free and open to the public.
