Larger than ever before! Get into the spirit of the season with a crisp autumnal walking tour led by museum staff from the Seward House and Cayuga Museum. Take in the foliage and take in the history as guides lead you through a winding stroll that features Auburn's downtown, historic South Street residential district, and Fort Hill Cemetery. Walkers will also enjoy taking a break at the Seward House - the tour's midway point - where complimentary cider and donuts will be served.

The fabulous and fascinating artwork of the Seward House moves from the backdrop to the foreground in this art-centric tour. Learn how aesthetics framed the world - and home - of the Seward family, as well as which artists and art movements caught their eyes.

Admission is $10. This tour will be in place of the regular 11am public tour.

See the Seward House Museum decked out for the holidays! Experience a Victorian Christmas in full with elegant decorations and live music performed throughout the day. Museum staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and share stories of Seward family Christmases.   

This event is free and open to the public.

Back by popular demand! Join museum staff from both the Seward House and the Cayuga Museum for a guided walking tour through Auburn. This tour is dedicated to unpacking the history of Auburn's West Side. By exploring the homes, businesses, and public spaces of this neighborhood, guides will discuss how the area emerged as a distinctive community in its own right. This tour is rain or shine, so participants are encouraged to dress comfortably and prepare appropriately in anticipation of two hours of walking through city neighborhoods.
