Experience the halls of the Seward House Museum decked out for the holidays! Harkening back to a Victorian Christmas, the open house also marks the only day of the year when the full Seward House is open for self-guided exploration. The community is invited to get into the holiday spirit against the inimitable backdrop of elegant decorations, seasonal arrangements from local florists and artisans, and live music performed throughout the day.  Museum staff and volunteers spread cheer by regaling visitors with stories of past Seward family Christmases.

In observation of the holiday, the Museum will be closed on Christmas day. 

The Museum will be closed the Friday after Thanksgiving, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Join us for the First Friday Community Event! 

In our gallery space, an exhibit featuring the photography from the Graphic Design and New Media students from Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES will be on display.  Visitors will also be welcomed into the Museum to view the Dining and Drawing Rooms, with docents on hand to answer questions and interpret the spaces. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.

This event is free and open to the public.

Due to the First Friday Community event, the Museum will close at 4:00 pm with no tour running during this time.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
