All Things Considered, Really: An Evening with Jami Floyd

Nov 2nd 2019 6:00 PM

During his career, William Seward was no stranger to the importance of journalism in public life, nor to the realities of hyper-partisan entanglements within the Fourth Estate. Beloved by Whig newspapers, denounced in Democratic presses, and often challenged by independent reporters, Seward navigated it all. A century and a half later, the Seward House Museum is pleased to welcome Jami Floyd to help us navigate the state of the news and politics today. The host of NPR’s popular “All Things Considered” program in WNYC in New York City, Floyd is one of the country’s leading journalists. Her roundtable community talk will provide insight drawn from her expertise and be highly interactive with substantial Q&A with the audience.

Jami Floyd  has appeared as a commentator on many news outlets including CNN, Fox News, NBC, MSNBC, and PBS. Known for her strong interview skills, she lists as particularly memorable her on-the-record conversations with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

Admission is $10 for members of the Seward House Museum and $15 for members of the general public. Space is limited. Reservations are recommended. This event will be held at the West End Theater at 217 Genesee St, Auburn, NY 13021.
