It is said that the old Seward kitchen was one of the most popular stations of the Underground Railroad, and that many a poor slave who fled by this route to Canada carried to his grave the remembrance of its warmth and cheer.

SHM docent John Yurco shares research on a number of topics related to Seward family, including the poetry of Fanny Seward, the short life of Cornelia Seward, and other stories.
This event is free and open to the public and will be held in the Seward House Museum Gardens.
