First Friday Community Event
Aug 3rd 2018 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Join us for a First Friday Community Event! Enjoy kicking off the last full month of Summer listening to the band MoonRabbit perform on our garden stage. The trio-band performs a unique style of American gothic roots rhythm and blues.
While listening to music, make sure to visit our gift shop gallery space, which will feature the photography of Dan Boardman. Dan Boardman is an artist living and working in Union Springs, NY. In 2012 Dan received his MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design(MassArt). He is a 2015 Light Work artist in residence and in 2013, he was awarded a Mass Cultural Council Grant for photography. Recently his work was exhibited at NADA NY, Harvard University, The Mills Gallery, and SAD Gallery in Seattle. In addition to his own photography, Dan runs a publishing company called Houseboat Press
As always, visitors will be allowed into the Museum to view the Dining and Drawing Rooms where William Henry Seward would have entertained important political figures. Docents will be on hand to answer questions and interpret the spaces. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
This event is free and open to the public.
