The 2012  Elsa Soderberg Distinguished Speaker Series hosted by the Seward House Museum welcomed world-renowned historian Doris Kearns Goodwin November 15th. Goodwin spoke about the work of William H. Seward, the important role he played in shaping our nation, and the Lincoln movie based on her award winning book, “Team of Rivals.”

More than 1,000 people attended the lecture and VIP book-signing event.

The lecture included vignettes from Goodwin’s time as White House intern under Lyndon Johnson, stories of Abraham Lincoln and his unique relationship with William Seward, and more.
